  1. Happy Holidays BloombergBackers!
While I am home for the Holidays in Kansas City, I am going to be surveying my friends and family regarding their opinion of the Mayor and his *potential* run for POTUS. I will be blogging about my experiences, but I think it would be GREAT FUN if everyone took an informal poll around the holiday table to get an understanding of what folks are thinking and posted the input for all of us at Draft Bloomberg 2008.
    Could be interesting!

I took an informal poll of my family - most are generally moderate leaning Republicans (I'm probably the most liberal of the bunch as a true independent). The consensus was pretty much the same - everyone was very keen on an independent Bloomberg run - however - they would only vote for a candidate that had a shot to win. My dad was very angry at Perot in 92 as he felt it put Bill in the WS. Of course, Nader put Bush in the WS in 2000 but that's beside the point.

I tried my best to convince everyone that Bloomberg is no Perot.

  3. KM, here is a blog post I wrote on exactly that subject. Next time someone says he is like Perot or Nader, here are some talking points!
