Centrist organizations are organizations that attempt to put substance over emotion. Our current political landscape is often mired in petty arguments, emotional "hot button" issues, and shameless pandering to the activist bases fringe of BOTH parties. These sorts of issues are used to divide us and keep our attention away from dealing with more pressing issues, or in dealing with issues in a realistic manner.
There are noble efforts made in both of our major political parties, but often these efforts are derailed by people "playing politics" and pandering. We need to solidify a Bloomberg candidacy based on soberly addressing real nation-buster issues, instead of the emotional wedge ones. In developing our sobered and rational understanding of the issues we face as a nation, we can learn much from existing organizations who also operate on this level.
To that end, started by several Unity08 Delegates (but not sanctioned by the Unity08), several of us have created a wiki site and a listing of some good Bipartisan Centrist Organizations, current Republican and Democrat Reps (and some not, but with some good Centrist ideas therein) and various research entities of many stripes for us to learn from, tap into on various issues, and leverage in our efforts here for the Bloomberg effort.

The Bloomberg effort will benefit tremendously by reaching out to the groups/entities (listed on the link) and by establishing a relationship to these tremendous organizations with good solid centrist ideas that could bolster our efforts. There are many more of these types of centrist entities out there, but these are good jumping off points for our efforts. Add to the list please and reach out feelers to these entities. An informed and activated citizenry is the best defense for a sustainable Republic!
