One of the reasons for excessive partisanship in politics is that many of those involved have one bit minds. In a computer one bit can stand for either of two conditions. People with one bit minds can only consider two possibilities. Everything must be an either or question. They don't know how to handle dealing with 3 possibilities. the idea of cooperation between the two parties in Congress is laughable because Congress has done very little since the Democrats took control.

On the subject of Iraq and 9/11, everyone seems to ignore why the Saudis were so mad at us. One of the mistakes the first President Bush did in Iraq was establish American bases in Iraq to contain Saddam Hussein. Many Saudis consider their country their Holy Land and the presence of our "infidel troops" defiled it. They tried to force us out be bombing a barracks. Then they attacked the Cole and a couple of embassies. Finally they conducted the 9/11 attack.
